SCA Design, LLC is now certified as a Nevada Local Emerging Small Business, Tier 1. The certification runs from October 30, 2018- October 30, 2020.

The Nevada Local Emerging Small Business (ESB) program is designed to encourage the development and growth of small businesses in Nevada. The ESB certification is through the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED).  “The program seeks to assist small businesses in obtaining work with state and local government agencies. The government contracting marketplace is increasingly competitive – small business certifications such as the ESB program provide local Nevada small businesses with an opportunity to highlight their capabilities and set themselves apart from their competition.” (1)

SCA Design is categorized under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541310 (Architectural Services), NAICS code 541410 (Interior Design Services), NAICS code 541340 (Drafting Services).  These NAICS codes include business capabilities including: Planning & designing residential, commercial, retail, tenant improvements, industrial buildings and structures, Planning, designing, and administering projects in interior spaces to meet the physical and aesthetic, building codes, health and safety regulations, and Drawing detailed layouts, plans, and illustrations of buildings, structures, systems, or components from engineering and architectural specifications.

TO QUALIFY AS A LOCAL EMERGING SMALL BUSINESS, THE APPLICANT MUST:

• Submit a completed application to the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development;
• Be a Local Business;
• Be in existence, operational and operating for a profit;
• Maintain its principal place of business in Nevada;
• Be in compliance with all applicable licensing and registration requirements;
• Not be a subsidiary or parent company belonging to a group of firms that are owned or controlled by the same persons if, in aggregate, the group of firms does not qualify pursuant to program requirements;
• Applicants must qualify as either a Tier 1 Local Emerging Small Business or a Tier 2 Local Emerging Small Business.
