Support local small businesses- The Saturday after Thanksgiving!

Shop Small Business Saturday is designed to support local business and help make local communities stronger. American Express came up with the idea in 2010 when the economy was hurting. The idea behind it is to shop local and keep supporting the local economy that supports you. Small Business Saturday will be celebrated on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 24th, 2018 around the country, in Las Vegas and in the Henderson area and specifically on Water Street. Water Street

Water Street is a local place to “shop unique boutiques. Dine in one-of-a-kind restaurants. Play in classic casinos. Be part of incredible special events. And do it all amid a few walkable downtown blocks of stores and businesses with a little bit of history and a whole lot of enjoyment. It’s not your typical shopping, dining and entertainment experience. But then again, that’s the point.” (1)

Redevelopment

“The Redevelopment Agency has been working avidly to create a refined vision for the Water Street District. The vision creates an authentic downtown core that is welcoming to everyone. It provides community gathering space, as well as a collection of retail, professional services, family and nightlife entertainment, employment centers, educational opportunities and a place to call home.” (2)

Grant Money

The Redevelopment Agency has financial incentives for Henderson businesses to move into and develop the area. Architect, Sheldon Colen and his team at SCA Design would love to partner with your business to help design or redesign your dream business location. Grant monies are available up to $55,000 for projects in the designated area. Check financial and grant details here.

Small Business

SCA Design was recently certified and recognized by Nevada Governor’s office of Economic Development as a Local Emerging Small Business. SCA Design is a team of 10 that completes over 200 design projects each year. No project is too big or too small.
