Teaming with a qualified Architect
SCA Design can be considered as a source of choice for any prime contractor, joint venture (JV) or government customer seeking architectural and design services or teaming endeavor. As a result of Sheldon’s and his team’s relentless commitment to delivering value-centric, on-time services, coupled with best value offerings, the company was awarded a subcontract resulting from a meeting of the minds to provide design services to Atherton Construction and Arriola, Joint Venture (JV) as the architect of record for a project to design and replace the existing split heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system with a single unit at Area 1, Nellis Air Force Base (AFB).
The company’s Nevada business continues to play an important role in the revitalization of Nevada’s economy by winning a first-tier subcontract with a federal government prime contractor and contributing to job sustainment and/or growth. Based on the award of the subcontract, the company was able to retain 13 full-time jobs.
PTAC
The Nevada PTAC has been and continues to be an invaluable partner in the success of the company. The company has directly benefited from its partnership with the Nevada PTAC by receiving additional opportunities for networking and the promotion of the company. In addition to the Nevada PTAC’s bidmatch services that provides access to numerous potential contracting opportunities, Government Contracts Advisor John Rice has provided and continually provides sage contracting advice, on-time assistance, actionable counseling, and client follow-up services that have proven beneficial to the success of the company. For example, John provided solicitation-driven, on-time and actionable counseling to help the company with the solicitation review and navigate the subcontracting aspects, including the “Privity of Contract” doctrine applicable to the U.S. Air Force and its prime contractor and its non-applicability to a subcontract pursuant to a sole source, Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation for a design/build project at Nellis AFB.
