2019 Color Trend

Sherwin Williams came out with their new color pallette and 2019 Color Trend of the Year! There were so many colors to choose from and so many trends, the color forecast team designed 6 color palettes, with 42 colors and named them according to the people groups that they best describe.

Cavern Clay- 2019 Color of the Year

Sherwin Williams recently released their 2019 color of the year, Cavern Clay,SW 7701. It is described as “Forged by sun. Fired by desert. Ancient, yet fully alive. Bohemian, yet totally refined.” (1) This color brings the natural feel to your home and new life to design spaces. When this color is combined with wood furniture, patina furnishings and an integration of  greenery  your room comes to life and has a southwestern feel.

 

Sherwin Williams suggests pairing cavern Clay with origami white, moth wing, dark clove and distance.

 

 

2019 Color Tend of the Year

Wanderer

Cavern Clay flows beautifully with the other colors chosen for the Sherwin Williams color palette, Wanderer. Wanderer consists of cavern clay, origami white, moth wing, dark clove, baked cookie, caramelized, and distance.

 

 

Aficionado

Aficionado consists of ancestral gold, alaea, dry dock, wheat penny, charcoal blue, merlot and grandiose.

 

 

Ranconteur

Ranconteur is beautifully blended together with porcelain, orchid, black bean, dhurrie beige, poised taupe, rustic red and chelsea mauve.

 

 

Naturalist

Its natural that they color designers would have paired the lovely colors primavera, misty, dark hunter green, shiitake, felted wool, delightful and eros pink  together to makeup the naturalist color palette.

 

Shapeshifter

Shapeshifter will be shaping the way for designers with the colors blue sky, elation, nugget, extra white, endless sea, celestial, and dark night making up the color palette for 2019.

 

 

Enthusiast

The enthusiast palette pops of bold colors with argyle, oceanside, porpoise, positive red, majestic purple, gold crest and nebulous white.
