Las Vegas Needs Affordable Housing

Nevada was ranked as one of the top places to start a business in 2018. But the need for an affordable place for business owners and employees to live is needed. Before the unprecedented Covid-19/ Corona Virus great lock-down and outbreak of 2020, more than 5,500 people were  homeless in Las Vegas. More than 14,000 Las Vegas residents were homeless at some point  in 2019. As of the outbreak, City officials reported the number had increased to over 6,500, with 70%  sleeping outside on the streets.

The homeless statistics of 2020 will only increase as the global economy continues to feel the aftermath.  As a city that relies on tourism and gaming income, Las Vegas predicts the economic impacts will last for years. This is why Las Vegas needs more affordable housing. This is why SCA Design is working with the community to bring more affordable housing to the local area.
