What are bridging documents?

In the architectural and construction world, bridging documents serve as a critical hand-off point in a Design-Build project delivery method. They act as a hybrid between preliminary concepts and final construction drawings. Essentially, these documents define the “what” and the “how well” of a project without dictating every minor technical detail, allowing the final design-build team to determine the most efficient way to build it.

Scope of Services SKYE CANYON/PROVIDENCE AREA LVMPD SUBSTATION AND PARK:

SCA Design was hired by the City of Las Vegas Capital Improvement Project, Department of Public Works for the following scope of services:

1. Schematic design; Create bridging documents, work within budget constraints, site plan, floor plan, elevations, renderings, roof plans, building sections, ceiling plans, Civil, grading, utility, traffic, and cross sections. 2
2. Schematic design, preferred design elements and practices to LVMPD construction project.
